PRODUCTION LINE
Log Processing
Tandem and edging saw lines
Log processing is the first link in the facility. Incoming logs are measured, taken in and broken down into timber on high-throughput tandem and edging lines. In the toll model the logs are yours; the line and technical team are ours.

HOW THE LINE WORKS
How material moves through this line
01
Intake and measurement
The incoming batch is recorded by species and diameter class, and graded.
02
Tandem sawing
The tandem line breaks the log down into its main sections in a single pass, keeping waste to a minimum.
03
Edging
Edging squares up the sides and raises the proportion of usable section.
04
Sorting
The resulting timber is sorted by grade and size, then sent to the next line or to the kiln.
