Toll processing: your material, our lines
In the toll model your logs or timber arrive at the facility, run through the lines you choose, and come back packed. Pricing is based on machine hours.
This model is for producers who already hold material or have built their own supply chain. It lets you use capital-intensive equipment without buying it — which is exactly what the shared-use facility was established for.
Stock production: ready semi-finished goods
In stock production, solid wood panels and glulam elements are produced from facility stock. Species, grade class and joint type are defined in the catalogue; dimensions and quantity follow your job.
Pricing is per cubic metre. It gives a directly usable semi-finished product to producers who would rather not deal with sourcing, drying and intermediate operations.
Which one when
The choice usually comes down to three questions: do you hold material, how steady is your volume, and how much technical control do you want to keep.
- You have your own log or timber source: toll
- You want to choose and track a specific grade class yourself: toll
- You want semi-finished goods without sourcing material: stock
- Your demand is irregular and you do not want to hold stock: stock
- A single-pallet trial: either — both run the same line
The two are not mutually exclusive
Using both models in the same project is common: buy series-production panel for the visible faces and have your own material toll-processed for the hidden structure.
The technical office can look at your cutting list and work out with you which part suits which model.
