Packing, labelling and batch tracking before dispatch

The job does not end where production does. Pre-dispatch control and correct packing make sure a batch that came off the line cleanly reaches you the same way.

Packing, labelling and batch tracking before dispatch

Pre-dispatch control

Species, grade class, joint type and moisture content are recorded for every batch. Dimensional and surface control is carried out before dispatch, and the batch is packed after passing it.

That record lets you trace the values the material left at, should a question arise later.

What to check on delivery

A short check at delivery prevents most later disputes:

  • Do the species, grade and moisture in the batch record match the order?
  • Do the quantity and dimensions match the list?
  • Has the pack been wetted or damaged in transit?
  • Are there scratches or dents from handling on the surface?

Storage is the continuation of delivery

Even a well-packed batch deteriorates if stored badly. The basic rules are: keep the pallet off the floor, let the material breathe, and keep it out of direct sun.

The conditioning period in the space where it will be used starts here too — with panelling and tongue-and-groove profiles in particular, that wait directly affects installation quality.

Move from theory to the real job.

If the dimensions and grade class are settled, define the piece in the quote builder; if not, the technical office will guide you the same working day.
